Geographic Scope


The AfricaConnect project will benefit researchers, educators and students in Southern and Eastern Africa, focusing on the member countries of the Ubuntunet Alliance.

The project also aims to stimulate the establishment and growth of new NRENs in West and Central Africa, where they do not currently exist.  The NRENs will be able join WACREN, the regional research and education network for West and Central Africa. This will enable WACREN and its members to participate in future regional networking project.
